As many of us know, the GT86 (also known as the FRS or BRZ) has quickly grown to be an enthusiast's car. It's light, rear-wheel drive and easy to modify. Little do people know, that the GT86 was actually modeled after the AE86 corolla. This car was never meant to be much of a drivers car, but due to the popularity of the vehicle, Japan will receive a special luxury model called the Cb model.
For the most part, the car will stay the same, but it does get a new front clip as well as smaller detail changes that accent the car nicely. The Cb model stands for "cool beauty" and gives the GT86 a smoother, more round front versus the angular and sharp looking front. Special two-toned trim paint is added to accent the somewhat new body lines.
Another cool thing the new Cb model will have is the blue LED vents on the fenders that replaced the "86" badge. High quality leather with red stitching is what you'll find in the interior along with some dark colored wood grained paneling. LED running lights were added and fancy gauges on the inside give the Cb model sort of an elegant look.
This is to be a Japan exclusive model only and is set to release in mid to late April. What are your thoughts on the new Cb style? We kind of like it and are waiting to see when people start importing the front clips here in the US for the conversions.
